Jussi Jokinen scored the only goal in a shootout Sunday to give the Carolina Hurricanes a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Wild.

The Hurricanes were a -110 favorite in the game and the nine goals scored went OVER the posted over/under total (5.5).

Ray Whitney had a goal and two assists for Carolina, while Joe Corvo and Brandon Sutter each had a goal and an assist in the win.

Robbie Earl scored a pair of goals for Minnesota and Niklas Backstrom made 31 saves.
