Avalanche bury Hurricanes

Joe Sakic scored once and had a helper in a four-goal outburst that led the Colorado Avalanche past the Carolina Hurricanes 5-2 Monday night.

Colorado won the game as a -130 favorite and the final score made it OVER the posted over/under (6).

John-Michael Liles, Pierre Turgeon and Sakic led the way for the Avalanche, while Tyler Arnason and Andrew Brunette tallied the other markers in the win.

Justin Williams scored both Carolina goals as they fell for the fourth straight time.
