Thrashers outlast Kings in shootout
Eric Christensen potted the deciding goal in the shootout to lift the Atlanta Thrashers past the Los Angeles Kings 7-6 on Monday night.
Atlanta won as +185 road underdogs as the game played over the 5.5-goal total set by oddsmakers.
Ilya Kovalchuk had a marker and two helpers in regulation for the Thrashers, who got three assists from Zach Bogosian in the win.
Anze Kopitar led Los Angeles with a pair of goals and two assists, while Alexander Frolov added a goal and three helpers for the Kings.
