Ottawa needed a shootout to earn a 3-2 victory over Montreal on Saturday in NHL action at Bell Centre.

Craig Anderson turned in a 33-save effort for the Senators.

Tomas Plekanec and Max Pacioretty scored for the Canadiens, finding the net behind Craig Anderson.

Carey Price stopped 23 of 25 shots for the Canadiens, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

Ottawa scored 1 time on 8 chances on the power play, while Montreal went 0-for-5 with the man advantage.

Ottawa lost the shots on goal battle to Montreal by a margin of 35-25.
