Montreal Skates Past Pittsburgh 3-2 - Recap

Montreal earned a 3-2 victory over Pittsburgh on Tuesday, but needed a shootout to do it at Bell Centre.

Lars Eller and Louis Leblanc each scored for the Canadiens in the victory. Leblanc opened the scoring for Montreal, finding the back of the net at 11:21 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Andrei Kostitsyn and Chris Campoli.

Carey Price turned in a 32-save effort for the Canadiens.

Pittsburgh got goals from Pascal Dupuis and James Neal in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 28 of 30 shots for the Penguins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Montreal went 0-for-3, while the Penguins were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Pittsburgh outshot Montreal 34-30 in the game.

Montreal heads into a battle against the Islanders. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, will have their next action against Winnipeg.
