New York vs Nashville Wrap - Nashville Wins 5-0

The battle between the Predators and Islanders didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as New York was handed a 5-0 defeat on Monday at Bridgestone Arena.

Nashville won as a -235 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played PUSH the total of 5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Nashville got goals from Patric Hornqvist (2), Jerred Smithson, Sergei Kostitsyn, and Nick Spaling in the victory. Kostitsyn opened the scoring at 11:15 of the first period.

Anders Lindback turned in a 28-save effort for the Predators.

New York got a 21-stop effort from Dwayne Roloson in the loss.

On the power play, Nashville went 2-for-4, while the Islanders were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Nashville lost the shots on goal battle to New York by a margin of 28-26.

Nashville looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Sharks. The Islanders will aim to get back on the winning track vs Anaheim.
