Penguins fend off Oilers

The Pittsburgh Penguins built up a five-goal lead and held on for a 5-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers Thursday night at Mellon Arena.

Pittsburgh won this contest as -170 favorites, while the nine goals sailed OVER the posted over/under (5.5).

Miroslav Satan and Petr Sykora scored twice for the Penguins, and Max Talbot added a shorthanded marker in the win.

Fernando Pisani, Tom Gilbert, Ales Hemsky and Sheldon Souray scored for the Oilers.
