T.J. Oshie scored for the Blues, finding the net behind Pekka Rinne.
Jaroslav Halak stopped 33 of 34 shots for the Blues, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Nashville went 0-for-2, while the Blues were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
St. Louis outshot Nashville 36-34 in the game.
Nashville heads into a battle against the Flames. St. Louis, meanwhile, will have their next action against Detroit.
