Vancouver earned a 5-4 victory over Anaheim on Tuesday, but needed a shootout to do it at Rogers Arena.

Maxim Lapierre clinched the win with a shootout goal in round 3 for the Canucks. Alexandre Burrows (2), Chris Higgins, and Maxim Lapierre each scored for the Canucks in the victory. Burrows opened the scoring for Vancouver, finding the back of the net at 14:17 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Henrik Sedin and Marc-Andre Gragnani.

Roberto Luongo stopped 11 of 15 Anaheim shots in the victory.

Anaheim got goals from Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Rod Pelley, and Devante Smith-Pelly in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Jonas Hiller stopped 35 of 39 shots for the Ducks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Vancouver went 0-for-5, while the Ducks were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Anaheim lost the shots on goal battle to Vancouver by a margin of 39-24.

Vancouver looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Flames. The Ducks will aim to get back on the winning track at Edmonton.
