Blue Jackets shutout Capitals

The Columbus Blue Jackets kept the Washington Capitals' offense under wraps with a 3-0 win at Nationwide Arena Saturday night.

Columbus won as a -115 home favorite while the final score played under the 5.5-goal total set by sportsbook.

Blue Jackets goalie Steve Mason stopped 26 shots for his second shutout of the season. Star forward Rick Nash did the job on offense with two goals. Raffi Torres added the other in the second period.

Capitals goaltender Brent Johnson allowed three goals on 28 shots. Alexander Ovechkin was held without a point for just the third time in the last 10 games.
