The Washington Capitals scored all their goals in the first period and rode their way to a 3-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets Saturday night at Nationwide Arena.

Washington won the game as -170 favorites, while the four goals went UNDER the posted over/under (6.5).

Alexander Semin, Tomas Fleischmann, and Mike Green tallied for the Capitals. Jose Theodore turned away 29 shots for the victory in net.

Antoine Vermette replied for the Blue Jackets, while Steve Mason made 20-of-21 saves in place of starter Mathieu Garon.
