Stars vs Canucks Final: 5-1 - Recap

The battle between the Stars and Canucks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Vancouver was handed a 5-1 defeat on Thursday at American Airlines Center.

Dallas was an underdog by +120 and came through for bettors backing them. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 5.5.

Ray Whitney, Erik Cole, Vernon Fiddler, Jamie Benn, and Cody Eakin each scored for the Stars in the victory. Fiddler opened the scoring for Dallas, finding the back of the net at 12:09 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Eric Nystrom and Cody Eakin.

Kari Lehtonen turned in a 37-save effort for the Stars.

Vancouver got a goal from Derek Roy in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Cory Schneider stopped 25 of 30 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Dallas went 1-for-5, while the Canucks were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Dallas lost the shots on goal battle to Vancouver by a margin of 38-30.

Dallas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blues. The Canucks will aim to get back on the winning track vs Detroit.
