Recap - Blue Jackets Defeat San Jose 4-0
The battle between the Blue Jackets and Sharks didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as San Jose was handed a 4-0 defeat on Tuesday at Nationwide Arena.
The Blue Jackets were a +111 underdog in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 5.
Columbus got goals from Marian Gaborik, James Wisniewski, Matt Calvert, and Ryan Johansen in the victory. Calvert opened the scoring at 8:39 of the first period.
Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 30 of 30 San Jose shots in the victory.
San Jose got a 22-stop effort from Antti Niemi in the loss.
On the power play, Columbus went 0-for-2, while the Sharks were 0-for-1 with the man advantage.
Columbus looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blues. The Sharks will aim to get back on the winning track at Detroit.
