Recap - Flames Defeat Dallas 4-3

The Stars came up short Friday against the Flames, falling 4-3 in a shootout.

Corban Knight clinched the win with a shootout goal in round 4 for the Flames. Michael Cammalleri (2) and Paul Byron each scored for the Flames in the victory. Cammalleri opened the scoring for Calgary, finding the back of the net at 6:20 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Joe Colborne and Mark Giordano.

Joey MacDonald turned in a 22-save effort for the Flames.

Dallas got goals from Erik Cole, Jamie Benn, and Antoine Roussel in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Tim Thomas stopped 27 of 30 shots for the Stars, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 1-for-1, while the Stars were 0-for-0 with the man advantage.

Dallas lost the shots on goal battle to Calgary by a margin of 30-25.

Calgary looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Coyotes. The Stars will aim to get back on the winning track at Winnipeg.
