Jason Spezza, Bobby Ryan, and Erik Karlsson scored for the Senators, finding the net behind Kari Lehtonen.
Craig Anderson stopped 33 of 36 shots for the Senators, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Dallas went 0-for-4, while the Senators were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.
Ottawa lost the shots on goal battle to Dallas by a margin of 38-36.
Dallas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Bruins. The Senators will aim to get back on the winning track at Columbus.
