Ottawa got goals from Clarke MacArthur and Mika Zibanejad in the loss, but it wasn't enough.
Ottawa got a 19-stop effort from Robin Lehner in the loss.
On the power play, Detroit went 0-for-1, while the Senators were 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
Detroit lost the shots on goal battle to Ottawa by a margin of 32-23.
Detroit looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Flyers. The Senators will aim to get back on the winning track at Florida.
