Jeff Halpern, Martin Hanzal, and Jordan Szwarz each scored for the Coyotes in the victory. Szwarz opened the scoring for Phoenix, finding the back of the net at 2:35 of the first period. The goal was assisted by Kyle Chipchura and Keith Yandle.
Mike Smith turned in a 32-save effort for the Coyotes.
New Jersey got goals from Jaromir Jagr and Ryane Clowe in the loss, but it wasn't enough.
Martin Brodeur stopped 24 of 27 shots for the Devils, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Phoenix went 1-for-3, while the Devils were 1-for-2 with the man advantage.
Phoenix lost the shots on goal battle to New Jersey by a margin of 34-27.
Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Maple Leafs. The Devils will aim to get back on the winning track vs St. Louis.
