The Blues came up short Tuesday against the Senators, falling 5-4 in a shootout.

Jaroslav Halak stopped 27 of 31 shots for the Blues, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 0-for-1, while the Blues were 0-for-7 with the man advantage.

Ottawa lost the shots on goal battle to St. Louis by a margin of 50-31.

Next game, Ottawa takes its act home to face Buffalo looking for another win. For St. Louis, they head home to face Boston.
