Winnipeg Falls 3-2 to Hurricanes - Recap

The Hurricanes earned a 3-2 victory over the Jets on Saturday at MTS Centre.

Carolina won as a +143 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Eric Staal, Jordan Staal, and Riley Nash each scored for the Hurricanes in the victory. Staal opened the scoring for Carolina, finding the back of the net at 8:25 of the second period. The goal was assisted by Jiri Tlusty and Andrej Sekera.

Cam Ward stopped 34 of 36 Winnipeg shots in the victory.

Jim Slater and Bryan Little scored for the Jets, finding the net behind Cam Ward.

Al Montoya stopped 29 of 32 shots for the Jets, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Carolina went 1-for-3, while the Jets were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Carolina lost the shots on goal battle to Winnipeg by a margin of 36-32.

Carolina looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Islanders. The Jets will aim to get back on the winning track at Dallas.
