2015 SuperContest: Week 1 Lines Set

Entrants in the 2015 SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook have been patiently waiting for the day the Week 1 lines would be released since they signed up.

That includes members of Team OddsShark, who will be competing for group prizes along with a share of the record pool that has already surpassed $2,250,000 thanks to more than 1,500 entries as Saturday’s final deadline rapidly approaches.

Many contestants will likely get action on the Thursday Night Football matchup that officially kicks off the 2015 NFL season between the New England Patriots (-7) and Pittsburgh Steelers.

With three-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady suiting up for the Patriots after his suspension was overturned following his role in Deflategate, some may find value in the visiting Steelers getting a touchdown while others pick the home team.

Backers of the Cleveland Browns will be happy to get +3.5 on the SuperContest card as they hit the road Sunday to take on the New York Jets, who are -3 (-120) at most sportsbooks.

Likewise for those taking the Cincinnati Bengals, who are -3 visiting the Oakland Raiders on Sunday in the SuperContest but -3.5 at some books.

The other games are all on par with current NFL betting odds at the SuperBook as of Wednesday, when the SuperContest lines were first released.

Three additional prime-time matchups will take place on Sunday and Monday night in Week 1. The Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants as 6.5-point favorites in an NFC East rivalry game on Sunday Night Football.

Then in the Monday Night Football doubleheader, the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Atlanta Falcons as 3-point road chalk before the San Francisco 49ers host the Minnesota Vikings as 2.5-point home underdogs.

One advantage entrants will have in the SuperContest on a weekly basis is that the lines do not change leading up to kickoff. What you see on Wednesday is what you get regardless of line moves based on injuries, weather or sharp action one way or the other.

Some contestants solely play these line moves, either going with or against the biggest differences of the week.
