Bills Most Popular Pick Among Team OS Members in Week 12 of Super Contest

While the record 2,748 entrants in the 2017 Super Contest at the Westgate SuperBook again had a clear-cut choice as the top consensus play in Week 12, Team OddsShark has a somewhat surprising pick chosen by a group-high nine members (36 percent). The Buffalo Bills (5-5) visit the Kansas City Chiefs (6-4) as 9.5-point road underdogs on the Week 12 Super Contest card, and they will be looking to snap a three-game losing streak. The big number in Kansas City’s favor helped make group leader Ty Schalter take Buffalo instead along with eight other members of the team.

The Bills are one of two underdogs among Schalter’s five NFL picks in Week 12, with the winless Cleveland Browns (0-10) the other visiting the Cincinnati Bengals (4-6) as 8-point road dogs. Schalter’s other three plays include the Carolina Panthers (7-3), Los Angeles Rams (7-3) and Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3), who all coincidentally have the same record. The Panthers visit the New York Jets (4-6) as 4.5-point road favorites, the Rams host the New Orleans Saints (8-2) as 2.5-point home chalk and the Jaguars visit the Arizona Cardinals (4-6) as 5.5-point road faves. Carolina, Los Angeles and Jacksonville turned out to be three of the Top 5 consensus picks overall.

The Panthers were picked a week-high 967 times (35 percent), followed by the Saints (696), Tennessee Titans (654), Rams (640) and Jaguars (609). But among Team OddsShark members, Carolina was tied as the co-third choice, selected seven times (28 percent) along with Los Angeles, the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts. The Philadelphia Eagles (9-1) host the Bears (3-7) as 13.5-point home favorites and were chosen by eight members of the team, including Paulo Antunes (aka Bossa Nova Kid), who sits 1.5 points behind Schalter in second place in the group standings.

Directly behind Antunes and Schalter right now in third place is Richard Roeper, the only team member who picked each of the three Thanksgiving games. Roeper went 2-1 in those games, with his lone loss coming on the New York Giants (2-9) as 7.5-point road dogs visiting the Washington Redskins (5-6). The Giants fell 20-10 in an ugly game after staying within seven points almost the entire time until the final two minutes.
