Schwab Seizes Team OddsShark Lead With Another Great Week in SuperContest

Nobody has been hotter for Team OddsShark in the prestigious SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook over the past six weeks than Frank Schwab, who has risen from near the bottom of the group standings to first place during that span. Schwab’s outstanding 22-7-1 mark in Weeks 8-13 has given him 35 points for the season and catapulted him past former leader Nick Kostos, who fell into sixth place.

In fact, the top four members of Team OddsShark all enjoyed winning weeks to put them ahead of the 20 others in the group. There were 11 members of the team who went 3-2 or better, including five that went 4-1, led by Schwab and Matt Ufford. Ben Eckstein and Anthony Riccobono each went 3-2 to maintain their spots near the top of the group leaderboard while Ufford jumped into a tie for third. Dan Katz, PFT Commenter and Ryan Fowler also both went 4-1 to move up the standings.

Unfortunately, it was not all good news for the team in Week 13, which proved to be very unlucky for a few members. Kostos turned in one of his worst weeks of the season to go from first to sixth in the group while Kelly Stewart and Ty Schalter both went 0-5. Stewart suffered the biggest fall from tied for 13th to tied for 21st in the group standings.

As reported on Saturday before Sunday’s NFL games kicked off, exactly one-third of Team OddsShark liked the Jacksonville Jaguars and another third the New York Jets. Those were the group’s two top plays collectively, and Stewart and Schalter were two of four members who picked the Jaguars and Jets. The others were Clay Travis and David Fucillo, last year’s team winner who has been sitting in 24th place most of this season.

The SuperContest as a whole has a new leader too, as MAC SPORTS INC. used a perfect 5-0 record in Week 13 to move into first out of a record 1,854 entrants. There has been a different contestant atop the overall standings each of the past four weeks.
