Super Contest Week 11 Computer Picks

Back-to-back 4-1 weeks in the Westgate SuperContest and consecutive weeks where the computer dominated (9-3-1 ATS, 10-3 ATS) have Odds Shark’s prediction engine hitting its stride.

Week 11 picks are in and the Westgate bets are heavy on underdogs. But check out the teams that are underdogs – New England, Seattle, Detroit.

The computer aims for its first 5-0 ATS sweep in the Vegas handicapping contest.

Patriots +3 at Indianapolis – computer says 35-33 New England

Tom Brady has a knack of winning as an underdog and the Pats getting three points is tempting here in Indy. The computer is picking an outright win in a high-scoring contest.

The Colts have been good bets after a bye week and as a home favorite, but the Pats have won and covered three straight when catching points. (Will the best Patriots line be at Bovada? Check it out.)

Steelers -6 at Tennessee – computer says 24-15 Pittsburgh

This game looks like a perfect bounce-back game for the Steelers, but there are a lot of freaky trends that make us scared of this pick.

The Titans tend to win on Monday Night Football, the Steelers tend to lose as road favorites. And if you dig pre-bye-week trends, beware the Steelers here – the past two seasons they were favored on the road before their bye and they lost each time.

Still, the computer sees a bounce and we side with the computer.

ALL NFL COMPUTER PICKS FOR WEEK 11

Broncos -9.5 at St. Louis – computer says 30-14 Denver

The Rams go back to Shaun Hill at QB and are 5-0 ATS as double-digit home underdogs (the line has already moved beyond 9.5 points per Bovada). But Peyton Manning and the Broncos look unstoppable on offense and the defense continues to be solid.

It's dangerous to bite off so much chalk here, but the Broncos have been covering spreads against bad teams.

Seahawks +1.5 at Chiefs – computer says 32-30 Seattle

Seattle catches points here, which traditionally means a lock at the betting window. The Seahawks are 16-3-1 ATS in their past 20 games as underdogs and everyone keeps expecting them to revert to their championship form.

The Chiefs are hot but overheated against a tough foe?

Lions +2.5 at Cardinals – computer says 25-24 Arizona

Arizona has been good and lucky and we’ll get to see if they are good enough to win without the injured Carson Palmer. Drew Stanton gets the starting gig against a very tough Detroit defense allowing the fewest points and second-fewest yards per play.

The computer doesn’t project Stanton’s stats, so it has them winning by one point with Palmer. Without him, the Lions should cover by more than the Westgate spread.
