Super Contest Week 14 Computer Picks

The Westgate Super Contest leaders are far ahead of the Odds Shark computer, which continues to have a significant winning edge for the season.

Regardless, the computer has three road faves and two near PK games picked correctly in Week 14, so we share with the class.

The contest also features a $15,000 prize to the contestant who does the best over the final three weeks, so why not get ready for a 15-0 ATS closing streak?

[ Watch for the latest odds at Bovada – the lines quoted below are set midweek by Westgate for contest purposes only ]

Houston -5.5 at Jacksonville – computer says 23-13 Texans | Matchup Stats

The Texans have won 14 of 18 road games when laying points over the past five seasons and their game log shows that they beat mediocre and poor teams and lose to good teams.

Guess where the Jags fall on that chart? Guess who is an underdog for the 41st consecutive game?

New England -3.5 at San Diego – computer says 36-27 Patriots | Matchup Stats

The Pats have won 24 of 29 December road games SU since 2002 and they are motivated after a loss at Lambeau last week. The Chargers are mercurial and pulled a Houdini act last week.

But they rank in the bottom third of the league in yards per rush defense and the Pats should make them pay for that weakness.

Indianapolis -3.5 at Cleveland – computer says 35-24 Colts | Matchup Stats

All the trends for Week 14 favor the Colts and the league’s best passing team faces a team that got into a QB controversy this week.

We might see Johnny Manziel again after this game gets out of hand.

Kansas City PK at Arizona – computer says 28-23 Chiefs | Matchup Stats

The Cardinals have lost two in a row since losing Carson Palmer and are in line for a third here. The Chiefs are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games on the road and are more motivated by their consecutive losses than are the Cardinals.

Seattle +1 at Philly – computer says 31-31 tie | Matchup Stats

The Seahawks seem to have rediscovered their mojo while the Eagles' domination of the Cowboys last week had more to do with Dallas incompetence.

Seattle is 11-3 ATS in its past 14 as small dogs of 1-3 points, 10-3-1 ATS in its last 14 games as road underdogs, and 3-1 SU and ATS in four recent clashes with Philly. The Eagles are tough at home and tough as small chalk, but the Seahawks should win a much lower-scoring game than the computer predicts.
