SuperContest Team OS Wk 16 Review

The race to become the 2015 Team OddsShark champion in the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook will come down to who performs the best in Week 17, with five members still in the running for first place in the group. Current co-leaders David Fucillo and Joe Ostrowski figure to be the best bets after each of them went 3-2 in Week 16, giving them both 50 of a possible 80 points (63 percent).

There were not too many changes at the top of the Team OddsShark Standings, although Nick Kostos jumped from fifth place in the group into fourth following a 3-2 week while Ryan Fowler fell from tied for third to fifth after going 1-4. Matt Ufford went 3-2 to take sole possession of third place behind Fucillo and Ostrowski.

Defending Champion Coming Off 4-1 Week

2014 Team OddsShark champion Todd Fuhrman was one of three members to go 4-1 in Week 16, joining Randall the Handle and Kelly Stewart (aka kellyinvegas), who both continued their surge from the bottom of the group standings to the middle of the pack. Randall and Stewart are now tied for 11th out of 21 members with Fuhrman seventh.

Fowler was not the only team member to struggle in Week 16, as three others did the same or worse. Dan Katz and Eric Sollenberger each went 1-4 while Aaron Nagler was 0-5 and now finds himself tied with Randall and Stewart for 11th place. Ben Eckstein went 2-3 to stay ahead of Whaifsports (also 2-3) and one spot out of the cellar.

Rounding Again Remains The Overall Leader

Overall leader Rounding Again went 4-1 for the fourth consecutive week and owns a 4.5-point cushion heading into Week 17 with 58.5 (73 percent). Three other contestants have a shot at the record grand prize of $906,675 in the SuperContest but will need Rounding Again to fail to win a pick in order to pull off the massive upset.

DesertCottontail and Olguita are tied for second place with 54 points while Fade Material has 53.5. Any of them would win a tie-breaker with Rounding Again based on the best record over the last three weeks.
