SuperContest Team OS Week 2 Review

And then there were three. After a record 108 contestants went 5-0 in Week 1 of the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, just three repeated the feat to stand at a perfect 10-0 following Week 2.

Three is also the magic number for the number of Team OddsShark members tied atop the group leaderboard, with Eric Sollenberger and David Fucillo from SB Nation and Ryan Fowler from FOX Sports all sitting at 8-2.

Kelly Stewart (aka kellyinvegas) had her first losing week since Week 14 of last season at 2-3 before she went on to win the $15,000 Mini Contest by going 14-1 in Weeks 15, 16 and 17.

STEWART TIED FOR FOURTH IN GROUP STANDINGS

Stewart was one of the 108 who went 5-0 in Week 1 this year, and she is now tied for fourth in the group standings at 7-3 along with Ben Eckstein from America’s Line, Ben Watanabe from NESN, Jason McIntyre from The Big Lead, Randall the Handle from The Toronto Sun and Rob Pizzola from The Score.

Two co-workers from CBS Sports redeemed themselves in Week 2, as Nick Kostos and Pete Prisco each went 4-1 to move into a tie for 10th in the group at 6-4. Unfortunately, 2014 group winner Todd Fuhrman, who also works with Kostos at SportsLine, suffered through another losing week and is just 3-7 after starting out last year at 14-1.

Fuhrman is tied for last in the group with Dan Katz (aka BarstoolBigCat) from BarstoolSports.

4-1 WAS TOP TEAM ODDSSHARK MARK IN WEEK 2

While nobody in the group went 5-0 in a tough Week 2, Fucillo, Fowler, Randall the Handle and Pizzola joined Kostos and Prisco by going 4-1. Overall, only 47 entries in the entire SuperContest field of 1,727 (three percent) went 5-0 in Week 2.

The Odds Shark Super Computer bounced back from a losing Week 1 with a 3-2 mark in Week 2 and is currently tied with Aaron Nagler and Jon Anik at 5-5. Nagler and Anik were two of the seven group members who went 2-3 in Week 2.

The good news is that nobody on Team OddsShark did worse than that despite the difficulty of games.
