Team OddsShark Evenly Split on Top NFL Picks for Week 12 of SuperContest

With only six weeks left in the prestigious SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, the 24 members of Team OddsShark have their work cut out for them as they attempt to finish among the Top 50 places that will be paid out more than $2.5 million in prize money. Last year, David Fucillo became the first member ever to place in the money by finishing tied for 24th overall in the then-record field of 1,727 entrants.

This season, the competition has been better than ever, not only overall but among the team members as well. So far, Anthony Riccobono and Nick Kostos have topped the group standings, with the former leading by one point heading into Week 12. Riccobono currently ranks 352 out of 1,854 with Kostos sitting at 540. However, the overall leader BNEV was 7.5 points ahead of Riccobono and has gone 0-2 with his first two picks, which both took place on Thanksgiving (Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys).

Meanwhile, Thanksgiving was good to Team OddsShark members Clay Travis and Ty Schalter, who each went 2-0 with their picks on the Detroit Lions and Washington Redskins, the third-most popular consensus NFL pick overall and tied for second in the group. The Redskins were 7-point road underdogs against the Cowboys and lost 31-26 but still handed them their first loss ATS in the SuperContest after going 10-0. There were 405 contestants on Washington (22 percent), including six from the team.

The Tennessee Titans are the most popular NFL consensus pick in Week 12 though, both overall and among team members. The Titans are 4.5-point road favorites versus the Chicago Bears, the first time they have been listed as chalk away from home since 2013. Tennessee was selected 514 times (28 percent), seven of which are team members. Fortunately for Riccobono and Kostos, they somehow managed to stay away from the Top 5 consensus SuperContest picks altogether. That’s a very good sign considering the Top 5 has gone a dismal 18-35-2 this year.

The other four teams that were picked six times apiece by team members are the Green Bay Packers, San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens. The Eagles host the Packers as 4-point favorites in the Week 12 Monday Night Football matchup. Get all Week 12 NFL picks from Team OddShark right here.
