Team OddsShark Wild Card Picks

Cousins

Team OddsShark is back for the Wild Card Round of the 2016 NFL playoffs with picks on each of the four games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. The two AFC games will kick off the weekend on Saturday, with the Kansas City Chiefs (11-5) visiting the Houston Texans (9-7) in the first game followed by the Cincinnati Bengals (12-4) hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6) in the second. On Sunday, it’s the NFC’s turn with the Minnesota Vikings (11-5) hosting the Seattle Seahawks (10-6) in the early game and the Green Bay Packers (10-6) visiting Washington Redskins (9-7) later in the day.

Based on the team’s consensus NFL picks, the Chiefs, Bengals, Vikings and Redskins will all be covering the spread this weekend. Minnesota is the team’s most popular play, selected by 14 of the 21 members (67 percent) as a 5-point home underdog against Seattle. Kansas City (-3) and Washington (-1) are tied for the second-most popular pick among team members, each chosen 13 times. And Cincinnati (+3) is fourth – picked 12 times – ad the most contentious selection by Team OddsShark facing Pittsburgh.

Team champion David Fucillo, the only member to finish in the Top 50 of the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook with 53 out of a possible 85 points (62 percent), agreed with three of the group’s top four consensus plays. But Fucillo is backing the Steelers over the Bengals because of a couple key trends in their favor.

“The Bengals have lost six straight Wild Card Round games, and are 2-12-1 ATS in their last 15 home games against the Steelers, according to the Odds Shark database,” Fucillo said. “The Steelers won big at Cincinnati in A.J. McCarron’s first appearance, and I think their offense is too much for Cincinnati this weekend, even at -3.”
