Westgate Super Contest Week 10 Results

The OddsShark Prediction Computer has put together consecutive winning weeks for the first time this NFL season after going 4-1 in Week 10 of the SuperContest.

The computer is now in the middle of the pack among other members of Team OddsShark, and there is a new group leader with Jason McIntyre from TheBigLead.com notching his second straight 4-1 week, moving his entry “Nothing Witty” to 28-22 overall.

Three of the computer’s four winning picks were routs, although one of them did not look too good until the second half of the fourth quarter. The Dallas Cowboys (-6.5) and Green Bay Packers (-7) were the easiest winners, as they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears by a combined 55 points. Meanwhile, the Arizona Cardinals (-7) and Kansas City Chiefs (-2) both rallied back to win and cover the spread.

The Cardinals trailed the St. Louis Rams at home until midway through the fourth quarter, when they exploded for 21 unanswered points despite losing starting quarterback Carson Palmer to a season-ending knee injury. The Chiefs were behind 13-3 on the road against the Buffalo Bills before scoring two fourth-quarter touchdowns for a 17-13 victory. The only loser for the computer was the Pittsburgh Steelers (-5), who saw their three-game winning streak end with a 20-13 road loss to the New York Jets.

However, the big winner of Week 10 was David Kaplan, who went a perfect 5-0 with the Jets, Packers, Detroit Lions (-2.5), Denver Broncos (-11.5) and Philadelphia Eagles (-6) all coming through for him. Three other Team OddsShark members had winning weeks as well, including Matt Ufford (4-1), David Fucillo (3-2) and Erin Sharoni (3-2). Ufford and Fucillo sit one game behind McIntyre in the group standings along with former leader Todd Fuhrman, who has struggled to a 13-22 mark over the last seven weeks following his blazing 14-1 start.
