SuperContest: Romo & Cowboys in Play

Entrants in the Super Contest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook have a lot of confidence in the return of quarterback Tony Romo in Week 11, as 515 of them (30 percent) picked the Dallas Cowboys (2-7) to defeat the Miami Dolphins (4-5) as a Pick’em on the SuperContest Card.

Romo has been out since breaking his collarbone in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles (4-5), with the Cowboys losing seven straight games without him following a 2-0 start. Dallas is this week’s top consensus NFL pick.

The Cowboys were not a clear-cut No. 1 selection by contestants though, as the New York Jets (5-4) were chosen by 514 of them (also 30 percent) as 2-point road favorites versus the Houston Texans (4-5).

The Jets got some good news when quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was cleared to play after a procedure on his thumb while the Texans were not so fortunate with their signal caller Brian Hoyer doubtful due to a concussion.

Houston handed the Cincinnati Bengals (8-1) their first loss in the Week 10 Monday Night Football game, and now contestants are jumping on the latter as 5-point road underdogs facing the Arizona Cardinals (7-2) in the Sunday Night Football matchup. The Bengals were selected 410 times as the fourth-most popular SuperContest pick.

Vikings vs packers popular week 11 game

However, the most popular game in Week 11 is an NFC North showdown between the Green Bay Packers (6-3) and Minnesota Vikings (7-2). The Packers were picked 414 times by contestants to rank as the third-most popular play with the Vikings chosen 409 to round out the Top 5.

The Vikings are 1-point home favorites and have covered their last eight games since losing to the San Francisco 49ers (3-6) in the season opener.

Team OddsShark agreed with Cincinnati and New York among the Top 5 overall, with nine of the 21 members taking the Bengals and eight on the Jets. But the Detroit Lions (2-7) tied Cincy as the most popular team pick, also selected nine times.

The Lions are coming off a stunning 18-16 road win over Green Bay last week and host the Oakland Raiders (4-5) as 2-point home underdogs.

Group leader David Fucillo and Nick Kostos, who is only one point behind him in the Team OddsShark Standings, both took the Dolphins and Denver Broncos (7-2), who visit the Chicago Bears (4-5) as 1-point road underdogs.

The Broncos have since moved to 1-point chalk according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. For a complete listing of Team OddsShark contest picks, click here.
