SuperContest: Team OS Likes Broncos

The fourth-most popular NFL pick in the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook in Week 12 is the top selection among Team OddsShark members for the entire year.

The Denver Broncos (8-2) were chosen by 415 of the 1,727 contestants (24 percent) entered in the SuperContest overall, but a season-high 14 of the 21 group members (67 percent) also took them as 3-point home underdogs against the unbeaten New England Patriots (10-0) in the Sunday Night Football game.

Many believe the Broncos will hand the Patriots their first loss in Week 12, especially with injuries mounting for the defending Super Bowl champions.

New England was already without running back Dion Lewis (knee) and wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot), and now wide receiver Danny Amendola (knee) did not even make the trip to Denver after he got hurt in Monday night’s 20-13 home win over the Buffalo Bills.

Buccaneers Top Week 12 Consensus Pick

The top Week 12 consensus pick overall though is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5), who were selected by 567 contestants (33 percent), followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) and Minnesota Vikings (7-3).

The Buccaneers are visiting the Indianapolis Colts (5-5) as 3.5-point underdogs on the SuperContest Card while the Steelers (chosen 531 times) are 4-point road dogs taking on the Seattle Seahawks (5-5) and the Vikings (429) are listed as a pick’em versus the Atlanta Falcons (6-4).

Team OddsShark agreed with Pittsburgh as one of the group’s Top 5 overall, with eight members taking the Steelers compared to six each on Tampa Bay and Minnesota. But the second-most popular group pick is the Houston Texans (5-5), also ranking eighth among contestants overall.

The Texans are 3-point home favorites against the New Orleans Saints (4-6), who have lost two straight games and just fired defensive coordinator Rex Ryan. The Saints rank last in the NFL in points and yards allowed.

OS Group Leaders Take Redskins, Titans

Group leader David Fucillo and Nick Kostos, who remains only one point behind him in the Team OddsShark Standings, both took the Washington Redskins (4-6) and Tennessee Titans (2-8).

The Redskins are 3-point home underdogs in an NFC East matchup with the New York Giants (5-5), and they have gone 4-0 straight-up and against the spread in their last four games at FedExField.

The Titans are 1.5-point home dogs against the Oakland Raiders (4-6), and they are looking to break a 10-game losing streak at Nissan Stadium. For a complete listing of Team OddsShark contest picks, click here.
