Redskins vs Bengals Betting Preview

The Cincinnati Bengals will look for a rare win as an underdog Sunday when they visit the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.

Cincinnati is 0-6 SU and 0-5-1 ATS in its last six games as an underdog. The total has gone OVER in four of Washington's last five home games and in seven of Cincinnati's last 10 road games. Washington is a 3.5-point favorite and the total is set at 49 at 5Dimes.

But the Redskins have struggled with the chalk. They are just 2-10-1 ATS in 13 games in that role. And totals bettors look at the OVER trend when Cincy is an underdog (8-1-1 past 10) as reason to handicap that angle as well.

Lions vs 49ers Betting Matchup

The Detroit Lions have visited San Francisco 10 times since 1981 and they can count their victories on zero hands.

They are 0-10 SU and haven't done much better against the spread. The UNDER has also been a near lock, going 9-0-1 in those games.

But these are not your regular Lions - they are contenders now, but facing a tough foe in the 49ers.

It's a rematch of last year’s heated battle, when the Lions meet the 49ers this Sunday night, this time at Candlestick Park.

San Francisco is coming in off of a great performance in an upset win over Green Bay while Detroit narrowly edged out the lowly St. Louis Rams last week.

San Francisco was a 7-point home favorite at 5Dimes. They are 10-1-1 ATS in their past 12 home games.

Falcons Broncos Betting: Monday Night Pick

Monday Night Football should set the stage for a quarterback duel when the Denver Broncos meet the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome.

Peyton Manning and Matt Ryan both looked outstanding in Week 1 wins over Pittsburgh and Kansas City respectively, and will look to lead their teams to a win in prime time Monday night.

Atlanta was a 3-point favorite at Sportsbook.ag and they own a curious Week 2 trend -  they are 5-0 ATS in five recent Week 2 games when playing at home.

Atlanta is 7-2 SU and 5-2-2 ATS in its last nine games at home and this matchup has historically produced OVER bets (8-1 past 9 meetings since 1981).

The Falcons are 10-1 SU, 9-2 ATS past 11 Sept home games, while the Broncos have been tough as an underdog, going  6-2 SU and ATS past 8 games in that role.

Seahawks Dominate at Home in Sept

The Dallas Cowboys visit CenturyLink Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2, facing a team that been a quiet betting juggernaut in this situation.

The Seahawks are a money-making 13-3-1 ATS in their past 17 home games in September. And Dallas has struggled mightily as a a road favorite too, as their 3-9-1 ATS mark in 13 recent games proves.

After topping division rival New York Giants on the road last week, Tony Romo will try to lead the Cowboys to another road win this week in Seattle. The Cowboys were a 3-point road favorite at 5Dimes.

Dallas is 4-2 SU and 5-1 ATS in its last six games against the Seattle Seahawks.

Steelers vs Jets Betting Preview

The New York Jets have come to Pittsburgh seven times since 1981 and left as losers six times.

The Steelers look to make it 7 of 8 Sunday afternoon at Heinz Field as Week 2 NFL odds action kicks off. The Jets were 6-point underdogs but the OVER may be the bet of choice.

In 20 recent road games, the Jets have played OVER 16 times and they have also proven a reliable OVER play when an underdog (11-3 past 14).

Mark Sanchez looked great in his 2012 debut against the Buffalo Bills, but he’ll be facing a tougher test this week on the road against the Steelers. Sportsbook.ag saw little movement this week in the point spread here.

Each of the last four games between these two teams has been decided by five points or less, and the Jets are 3-1 ATS over that span.

League:

Rams vs Redskins Betting Pick

The St. Louis Rams host the Washington Redskins and the Week 2 NFL odds menu requests the Redskins may be the safe bet.

The Rams are just 2-11 ATS in their past 13 September home games and they face Robert Griffin III, who was sensational in a road win over New Orleans last week. He will look for an encore this week at St. Louis, while hoping he can reverse this old Washington trend.

The Redskins are a money-losing 2-9-1 ATS in their past 12 games as favorites and the Rams are a 3-point home underdog at TopBet. St. Louis is 4-1 ATS in its last five games against Washington and 3-2 SU over that span.

Week 2 NFL Betting Trends

Some of the biggest Week 1 trends failed to pan out as the season opened, but there are plenty of interesting trend angles to explore in Week 2.

The Browns and Rams had been the worst Week 1 teams to bet on over the past decade, but both covered the spread in Week (although they lost to the Eagles and Lions respectively).

The Patriots trend toward September OVERs also crapped out as they won easily in Tennessee, but the game went UNDER 47 points.

Eagles Ravens Betting Preview

The Baltimore Ravens head to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday afternoon knowing they have absolutely dominated NFC East teams for the past decade.

The Ravens are 8-1 ATS in nine games against this conference since 2001 and they are 4-1-1 ATS in six games against the Eagles..

Mike Vick will look to bounce back from an ugly four-interception day against Cleveland, but will have to do so against a stingy Baltimore pass defense.

Philadelphia was favored by two points at home at Bovada. Philadelphia is just 3-8 SU in its last 11 games at home and 3-6 ATS in its last nine games at home.

Cardinals vs Patriots Game Preview

The New England Patriots look to continue their regular season dominance Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, a team they ourscored 128-33 in the past four meetings, at Gillette Stadium.

Kevin Kolb takes over at quarterback for Arizona with John Skelton suffering an ankle injury in Week 1, and he gets a brutal assignment heading to Foxborough to take on the Patriots. But beware the Cards, who are 8-3 ATS in their past 11 games as double-digit dog.

New England was a huge 14-point favorite at Bovada and it moved higher during the week. New England is a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS in its last four games against Arizona and has dominated the NFC West (13-1 SU, 12-2 ATS past 14).
