MNF Betting Preview: Wentzylvania Has Arrived for Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles weren’t perceived as a true contender by many prior to the start of the season, but through six weeks they’re certainly looking the part thanks to a 5-1 SU record. Philly welcomes an old foe to town in Week 7 when the Washington Redskins invade the City of Brotherly Love for a good old fashioned NFC East battle under the bright lights of Monday Night Football.

Seahawks are Having Major Issues Covering on the Road

The 2017 campaign has been a tough one for the New York Giants, but the G-men finally picked up their first victory of the year over the Denver Broncos on Sunday night and will be in tough to make it two in a row against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7.

Xbet opened the Giants as 5.5-point home underdogs with a total of 38.5.

Shark Bites
  • The Giants are 0-6 ATS in their last six games when hosting a West Coast team.
  • The Giants are 2-10 SU in their last 12 games as home underdogs.
  • The total has gone OVER in four of the Seahawks' last five games on the East Coast.

This is the first meeting between the Seahawks and Giants since Week 10 of the 2014 season, when Seattle came out with a 38-17 win.

Seattle finds itself a half-game behind the Los Angeles Rams for first place in the NFC West but are still the odds-on favorites to win the division at most sportsbooks. The Seahawks, who are coming off their bye week, have won three of their past four following the bye while covering on two of those occasions.

The offense simply hasn’t been there for the Seahawks so far, and one of the NFL’s weakest offensive lines is a major reason why. Russell Wilson and company have been held to 16 points or fewer in three tilts so far. Seattle has been a brutal bet when playing away from home, going 1-6 ATS in their last seven on the road.

The Giants pulled off the stunner of a win over the Broncos as nearly two touchdown underdogs last week, which was especially strange since they were playing without Odell Beckham Jr. who suffered a season-ending injury in Week 5. Eli Manning was playing without his top three receivers (Beckham, Brandon Marshall and Sterling Shepard) and managed 128 yards through the air as a result. Running back Orleans Darkwa stepped up to the tune of 117 yards against the No. 1 rushing defense in the NFL.

Betting the Giants to win straight up home underdogs has been a questionable decision recently, though. New York is a measly 2-10 SU in its last 12 at MetLife Stadium when getting the underdog label.

Falcons Searching for a Shred of Redemption After Humiliating Super Bowl Loss

Maybe you heard about this — The Falcons blew a 28-3 late third quarter lead in the Super Bowl vs the Patriots last season. This will forever go down as one of the most embarrassing losses in the history of sports. They were ridiculed about it throughout the offseason and the schedule makers were kind enough (or cruel enough depending on your outlook) to give them a crack at the Patriots in a prime-time game on Sunday night.

Broncos attempt to right their wrongs in Cali

The Denver Broncos can be a frustrating team to bet on. Just ask anyone who included them on a teaser in Week 6. One week they’re dominating the Dallas Cowboys at home and look like Super Bowl Contenders. Then they look sloppy and let an 0-5 NY Giants team punk them. The Broncos will be excited to get back to divisional play on the road and attempt to demolish the LA Chargers in Stubhub Center.

Steelers can control AFC North with win over Bengals

Are the Pittsburgh Steelers schizophrenic? In Week 4, they’re showing a winning personality by stomping the Ravens in Baltimore.  The next week they completely fall apart and lose handedly at home against Jacksonville. By knocking around Kansas City last Sunday, they might be coming back to reality and will look to crush the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7.

Dallas trying to find its legs in San Francisco

It’s put up or shut up time for the Dallas Cowboys. Starting the season 2-3 after opening at NFC favorites, Dallas got some fool’s gold when a Judge ruled in favor of Ezekiel Elliott’s court case, temporarily lifting his six-game suspension. Dallas gets a big boost with Elliott in the lineup and have shown they’re a different team when all the focus is on Dak Prescott.

Can Peterson's Emergence Once Again Boost Cardinals in Jolly Old England?

Losing David Johnson early in the year was a crushing loss for the Arizona Cardinals, and the team struggled to get anything going on the ground in the weeks after. But with Adrian Peterson around, the offense looked like its normal self last week in a win over Tampa Bay. The Cards travel across the pond in Week 7 when they tangle with the Los Angeles Rams in London.

New York has been a strong bet against Miami

The New York Jets are 14-4 ATS in their last 18 games against the Miami Dolphins and are 3-1 SU in their last four road games against the Dolphins. The Jets will try to earn another win and cover over the Dolphins this Sunday in Miami.
