UFC: 2016 Underdogs vs Favorites Record

Anthony Johnson UFC

2015 was a historic year for upsets in the UFC. Seven titles changed hands during the year, and no upset was bigger than Holly Holm’s over the once-invincible Ronda Rousey. For the year, underdogs posted a 180-288 record vs favorites, earning the W in 38.5% of fights. Will 2016 once again be a big year for the underdog, or will the favorites simply do what they’re supposed to do?

Conor McGregor Career UFC Odds History

Conor McGregor UFC Betting

Conor McGregor has taken the MMA world by storm since entering the UFC in April of 2013. His rare combination of unparalleled bravado and unique striking ability have already made him the most polarizing UFC fighter of all-time. What sets him apart from other trash talkers in the sport is his ability to back his words up in impressive fashion, as he’s recorded six TKO/KO finishes in his seven UFC fights.

Going back to his time outside of the UFC, the 27-year-old Irishman has won 15 fights in a row. He finished 13 of those fights by TKO/KO, one by submission and one by decision.

UFC: Rockhold vs Weidman II Odds

Luke Rockhold will defend his UFC Middleweight Championship for the first time against the man he took it from, as Chris Weidman will get an immediate rematch at UFC 199 this June. The two men had an entertaining first fight at UFC 194, but a poorly timed spinning back kick from Weidman gave Rockhold the opening he needed to take control of, and eventually win the bout.

After picking up the victory in their last fight, Rockhold has opened as a -175 favorite with Weidman coming back at +145 at 5Dimes.

UFC: Prop Odds on Potential GSP Return

Ever since Georges St. Pierre walked away from the UFC there has been rampant speculation as to if and when he would return. Despite recovering from a torn ACL he suffered during practice in early 2014, GSP decided to stay away from the sport and has openly criticized their drug testing policies. There have been several rumors about a potential return, and recently GSP trained with renowned boxing coach Freddie Roach and reports suggested that if he could make it through a training camp, he would return very soon.

Can McGregor Win in the First Minute?

Conor McGregor UFC

What can Conor McGregor do next? Well, for starters he’s looking to add the lightweight title to his resume, but a brash prediction made at the UFC 196 press conference has fight fans debating if McGregor has a quick finish in-store for Rafael dos Anjos.

McGregor boldly claimed that he would “dust Rafael inside one minute,” which has prompted online sportsbook Bovada to create a prop on the possibility of the prediction coming to light. The book has Yes at +700, and No coming back at -2000.

UFC Fight Night 82: Betting Odds Preview

The former UFC 196 turned Fight Night 82 takes place this Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. A card that once featured a UFC heavyweight title fight has been relegated from PPV status after the cancellation of that bout. Instead, the card features Johny Hendricks and Stephen Thompson clashing with major welterweight division implications hanging in the balance. The co-main event is Roy Nelson vs Jared Rosholt (and yes, that pains me to say).

UFC: Jones vs Cormier Rematch Odds

Jon Jones Daniel Cormier

It seems that Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier are on a collision course once again. With Jones never officially losing his UFC Light Heavyweight Title and many not seeing Cormier as the true champion because of that, Bones will get an immediate rematch for the strap at UFC 197.

UFC on Fox 18 Betting Odds Preview

The light heavyweight title picture looks to get slightly less muddy when Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader clash at the Prudential Center at UFC on Fox 18. Johnson vs Bader is as close as the division can come to presenting a title eliminator with Jon Jones still yet to make his return from his suspension following a hit-and-run incident. The co-main event will see top 10 heavyweights Josh Barnett and Ben Rothwell clash with the hopes that either fighter is just two wins away from a potential title shot.
