UFC 125 Betting Results

Gray Maynard has fought Frank Edgar twice and not lost, yet he was unable to do enough to walk out of the Octagon with the UFC Lightweight strap on Saturday night. He was an MMA odds -140 favorite at Bovada to win his first title shot but the fight ended in a draw and the title stayed with the champion.

UFC 125 Odds Preview

It’s not often that you see a UFC champion enter the Octagon as an underdog, but that’s what Frank Edgar is going to be at UFC 125 when he defends his Lightweight title against Gray Maynard.

WEC 53 Betting Results

In the main event of WEC 53 Benson Henderson (12-1-0) needed to defend his WEC Lightweight title one more time to get a shot at the UFC Lightweight strap.

WEC 53 odds had him as a 5Dimes -175 favorite against slick-striking Anthony Pettis (11-1-0), but it was Pettis that beat the MMA odds of +155 and won a shot to become the new UFC, and final WEC, Lightweight champion.

UFC 124 Betting Results

Heavily-favored Georges St-Pierre (21-2-0) once again dominated Josh Koscheck (15-5-0) at UFC 124. The Welterweight champ established a stiff jab that controlled the fight for all five rounds, punishing Koscheck’s face along the way. St-Pierre (a very safe -450 at Sportsbook.ag) retained his title via unanimous 50-45 decision.

UFC 124 Betting at Bodog

We will see if Josh Koscheck’s predictions about his own fights are better than his hockey forecasts.

When the UFC visited Montreal’s Bell Centre back in early May for UFC 113, Koscheck took Paul Daley down to the ground and controlled him for most of three straight rounds, winning a straight 30-27 unanimous decision. The victory was by far the biggest of Koscheck’s career and it earned him a welterweight title bout against Georges St. Pierre.

UFC Odds: Struve vs. McCorkle

Heavyweight giant Stefan Struve (23-4-0) has been getting all the motivation he needs for his upcoming UFC 124 fight against undefeated Sean McCorkle (10-0-0). Despite MMA betting lines listing McCorkle as an underdog, he’s been running his mouth and posting insulting comments about Struve on his Twitter account.

McCorkle (+140 at 5Dimes) has no shortage of confidence when talking about his upcoming UFC 124 fight. His trash talk has been more like a one-liner stand-up comedy routine than fight hype;

UFC 124 Upset Bets

The MMA betting lines for UFC 124 are offering fight fans a couple of underdog opportunities for this weekend with John Howard and mac Danzig shaping up as interesting plays.

Betting against heavily-favored Welterweight champion George St-Pierre may be ill-advised, but Howard (14-5-0) and Danzig (20-7-1) are looking like they both have a decent chance to upset their opponents and win as MMA betting underdogs.
