MMA Odds: Fedor vs. Werdum Betting Preview

There is no question that Strikeforce is well below the UFC on the mixed martial arts odds pecking order in terms of popularity and betting action.

However, one Strikeforce fighter, Fedor Emelianenko, the world’s top-ranked heavyweight, can match the star power of just about any UFC fighter. Emelianenko returns to action on Saturday night against UFC and Pride veteran Fabricio Werdum at an event co-promoted by Strikeforce and M-1 Global in San Jose, Calif. The card will be televised by Showtime.

No Big Underdogs in TUF 11 Odds List

Another season of The Ultimate Fighter wraps up this weekend with the finale fight between the last two men standing - Court McGee and Kris McCray. And like all previous TUF finales, this one features a menu of star quality with Matt Hamill facing Keith Jardine among others.

Strikeforce: Los Angeles Preview

It's a mid-week special for MMA fans tonight with Strikeforce: Los Angeles.

The Strikeforce: Los Angeles card lost some of its luster after Bobby Lashley's fight with Ron Sparks was canceled due to a knee injury to Lashley. The main event still packs some punch, though, with Robbie Lawler set to face Renato Sobral at catchweight (195 lbs). The winner of the bout will get a title match in their regular weight class.

UFC 115 Betting Preview

A couple of UFC legends meet up in the octagon this weekend when Chuck Liddell faces Rich Franklin at UFC 115. Liddell and Franklin are both former UFC champions looking to rebound from losses in their last bout. Both are also known for their raw knockout power, which means either fighter could win the fight if they connect with the right shot.

Russow, Diabate Win as Big UFC 114 Underdogs

Neither Mike Russow and Cyrile Diabate were big names on the UFC 114 card, but both were big names for UFC underdog bettors. Russow stunned Todd Duffee, knocking him out in the third round as a +250 underdog at Bovada. Duffee had been a -325 favorite on the UFC odds list.

Evans Even Odds Vs Rampage

Unlike some past UFC events, UFC 114 on Saturday night from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas features a really good card. It is highlighted by a light heavyweight battle between Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

This is one occasion in the UFC where the fighters truly don’t like one another. Sometimes fighters put on a show for the media but these two simply can’t stand one another and that should make for a great headline bout on Saturday night.

UFC 114 Odds Analysis

Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans finally get their grudge match this weekend when the two light heavyweights clash at UFC 114: Rampage vs. Evans. This fight between Jackson and Evans was supposed to take place last year after both fighters acted as coaches during the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter. A showdown was set at UFC 107 in December 2009, but it was scrapped after Rampage bailed to play B.A. Baracus in the new A-Team movie.

UFC 114 Betting Picks

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson is a slight underdog for this weekend’s main event with Rashad Evans. Jackson is available at -115 compared to Rashad’s price of -120. It’s only fitting that there’s little to choose between such bitter rivals but just because this one will be tight, don’t expect a cagey fight in the octagon.
