Mayweather Betting Odds Shorter

Betting on Mayweather has been one of those rare 100% guaranteed wagers, but not everyone can afford to place the bet.

It's different Saturday as he faces Saul Alvarez, because oddsmakers view Canelo as a more serious threat to Mayweather's perfect 44-0 record.

"Normally, laying a bet on Floyd Mayweather forces you to risk so much money that it's not really worth the bet," explains Jack Randall of "When he is a 6-1 favorite, it means betting $600 to turn a $100 profit - pretty risky without a ton of return."

Boxing Betting: September Preview

Boxing betting action for September will feature a WBO Lightweight title fight between Ricky Burns and Raymundo Beltran, a WBC and WBA Light Welterweight title fight between Lucas Martin Matthysse and Danny Garcia, and a WBC and WBA Light Middleweight unification title fight between Saul Alvarez and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Bet on Boxing Saturday

Fight fans get a slew of intriguing choices as they look to bet on boxing Saturday night, including a scrap between Tony Dodson and Paul Smith for the vacant British super middleweight title.

Boxing odds favor Smith big time in this scrap, but he is not the biggest favorite on the betting board tonight according to the lines at SportBet. Scott Quigg is a -3500 favorite against William Prado, in a moneyline that is reminiscient of Mike Tyson odds.

Pacquiao vs Rios Fight Odds Announced

Manny Pacquiao will return to the boxing odds menu in November with a scrap against 27-year-old American Brandon Rios.

And online sportsbook Bovada wasted no time in getting lines posted on Pac Man’s fight against Bam Bam.

Pacquiao opened as a -400 moneyline favorite, while Rios would pay +300 (3-1) for the upset. Pacquiao comes in on a two-fight losing skid, having been knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez and losing a controversial decision to Timothy Bradley.
