Sprint Cup Odds: STP 400

The Sprint Cup Series unveils a new race for NASCAR bettors this weekend with the inaugural STP 400 at Kansas Speedway.

The addition of the STP 400 to the Sprint Cup Series schedule gives Kansas two races this season (the Hollywood Casino 400 comes later in the year during the Chase). That means NASCAR bettors will have some history from Kansas to look at when making their picks this weekend.

Coca-Cola 600 Betting Preview

Fresh off a run-in with the law Kyle Busch is one of the favorites at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend at the Coca-Cola 600.

Busch made headlines on Tuesday after he was clocked going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone by North Carolina police. NASCAR has Busch under probation for a recent on-track confrontation with Kevin Harvick, but the speeding ticket won't cause him to miss this weekend's race.

NASCAR All-Star Betting Odds

It's All-Star Weekend for NASCAR in Charlotte, but that doesn't mean bettors get a break as they can still wager on the Sprint Cup Showdown and the All-Star Race itself.

For NASCAR newbies this is how the All-Star Race works: Any driver who has won a Cup championship, an All-Star Race in a previous year, or a Sprint Cup race in 2010 or 2011 gets into the All-Star Race. The rest of the Sprint Cup drivers gets entered into the 40-lap Sprint Cup Showdown, where the top two finishers and the fan pick get a spot in the All-Star Race.

Crown Royal 400 Betting Preview

Kyle Busch sits sixth overall in the NASCAR driver standings, but he could catapult himself up the ladder with a win in the Crown Royal 400 on April 30 in Virginia.

Busch is the two-time defending champion of the Crown Royal 400 at Richmond International Raceway, and could be a good betting favorite for a three-peat in this year’s race. In addition to last year’s victory, Busch won the Nationwide Series race that weekend.

Aaron's 499 Betting Preview

Kevin Harvick has won two of the last three Sprint Cup Series races and is the defending champion at the Aaron's 499. As a result, Harvick is the odds-on favorite at +650 at Sportsbook.ag to repeat his performance at the Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.

In addition to his victories Harvick has produced two other Top-10 finishes this season, and he will garner a ton of support for this race on the NASCAR betting lines. Harvick now sits in ninth in the Sprint Cup Series standings.

Carl Edwards is considered the odds-on favorite to claim his second title of the short NASCAR season as a +450 favorite on the Samsung Mobile 500 lines. Edwards has had four Top-10 finishes to go along with his victory in Las Vegas.

Denny Hamlin raced to victory in last year’s version of the Goody’s Fast Relief 500, and he arrives at the Martinsville Speedway as the early favorite at +300 (3/1 odds) for a repeat in 2011 when the drivers take to the track on Sunday.

Hamlin currently sits in 21st place in the NASCAR standings, and with only one Top 10 finish thus far he is due for a breakout race  - and Martinsville is his home turf. He loves this track, winning the last three races there and four of the past six.

Kyle Busch was expected to be the favorite to upend five-time defending Sprint Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, but it's brother Kurt who has four Top-10 finishes coming into this weekend’s Auto Club 400 from the Speedway in Fontana, California.

Johnson is the defending champion and is at 7/2 odds at Sportsbook.ag to collect the checkered flag in the 2011 version of the race. Johnson has a pair of Top-5 finishes this season and sits 20 points back of leader Kurt Busch (15/1) in the overall NASCAR driver standings.
