Triple Crown Betting

While horse racing is considered a “fringe” sport among mainstream sports fans for much of the year, the main exception to that is during the Triple Crown,

Each spring the top three-year-olds in training go through a grueling three-race series, starting with the two most exciting minutes in sports, the Kentucky Derby at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.

How to Pick an Online Racebook

Betting the ponies has become very easy thanks to the Internet. No more trudging out to the racetrack, fighting traffic, paying to park and admissions, and eating less than stellar food.

Staying at home and betting on horses has become immensely popular, with online racebooks offering plenty of incentives to horseplayers, and online video streaming becoming vivid enough it almost seems like you are at the track.

Breeders Cup Classic Preview

The most anticipated race in the Breeders Cup is the Breeders Cup Classic on Saturday afternoon when the unbeaten Zenyatta will try to make it a perfect 20 for 20.  She is the 8-5 morning line favorite in a field of 12 for the $5 million dollar classic.

Belmont Stakes Odds Preview

This weekend's Belmont Stakes may be lacking this season's big winners, but that could be a good thing for bettors if an underdog can sneak through and steal the show.

The Belmont's field immediately took a blow when Super Saver's Triple Crown chances were dashed at the Preakness Stakes. That loss all but guaranteed the Kentucky Derby winner would skip the Belmont, and that's exactly what he's doing. The Preakness winner, Lookin at Lucky, has also decided to take a pass on the Belmont, leaving the field without both of this year’s prior Triple Crown race winners.

Ice Box Favorite in Belmont Stakes

The 142nd running of the Belmont Stakes odds is on Saturday with a field of 12 horses expected to go to the post. Kentucky Derby runner-up Ice Box is the 3-1 morning line favorite with Preakness runner-up First Dude the second choice with odds of 9-2 at Bovada.

Super Saver Leads Preakness Odds

The Preakness Stakes is set to run this Saturday at Pimlico in Baltimore, Maryland and again, talk will begin about a Triple Crown winner, a feat not achieved since Affirmed turned the trick back in 1978.

Preakness Stakes Betting Preview

A 12-horse field will run the Preakness Stakes this weekend with Kentucky Derby champion Super Saver the favorite to win the second jewel of the Triple Crown. The Preakness was expected to have at least 13 horses in the field, but that number was dropped to 12 after a leg injury forced Hurricane Ike to pull out.

Preakness Stakes: Super Saver

Kentucky Derby Recap

Super Saver upset the favorites in the Kentucky Derby on the weekend and he’ll try to add the second jewel of the Triple Crown in two weeks in the Preakness Stakes.

Rain turned the track at Churchill Downs into a muddy mess on Saturday. That was just fine for Super Saver, who has a history of running fast in the muck and tore through the mud at a blistering pace.

Kentucky Derby Betting Preview

Lookin at Lucky leads a 20-horse field as the 4/1 favorite in this weekend’s 136th running of the Kentucky Derby. Will bettors be lucky if they bet on the favorite, or will an underdog steal the show again like 50/1 longshot Mine That Bird did at Churchill Downs last year? Lookin at Lucky has been the favorite at online racebook Bovada since Eskendereya was pulled from the race due to a bad leg.
