Tiger Woods Odds: FedExCup Betting

The PGA Tour begins its playoffs this week with The Barclays at Bethpage State Park, and the sportsbooks have Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy listed as favorites on those FedExCup betting odds.

However, it's McIlroy, and not Woods, that opened as the 6/1 favorite on the golf odds at Bovada to win The Barclays this week, with Woods second on that list at 7/1.

Masters Odds: Woods, not McIlroy, favored

Rory McIlroy dominated the PGA Championship to win his second major by a record eight strokes, while Tiger Woods once again faded on the weekend. However, that didn’t stop Woods from opening as the favorite to win the 2013 Masters.

Four giant longshots for British Open

The last nine major champions on the PGA Tour have been first-time major winners. Could one of these massive longshots be the 10th straight at the 7,086-yard, par-70 Royal Lytham & St Annes course this week? Here's a look at some of the bigger posted lines to win the 2012 British Open . . .

2012 Masters Golf Betting Props

You would think it's Super Bowl Sunday, judging from the golf prop betting action posted by sportsbooks on their Masters odds menus this week. But it's the end of college basketball, a day before the start of baseball and Tiger Woods has the golf world buzzing after his win two weeks ago.

2012 Masters Betting Preview

Tiger Woods is always a favorite on the golf odds at The Masters, and he'll probably draw even more attention on those betting lines this time around since he finally added another tournament victory to his resume two weeks ago.

Woods ended a long drought by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill at the end of March, claiming that tournament by five strokes over Graeme McDowell.

2012 Masters Odds: Tiger Leads Betting

The timing was great for Tiger Woods and for the entire golf betting community. His five-stroke win this weekend in the Arnold Palmer Invitational was his first PGA win since 2009 and immediately caused a commotion with the sportsbooks and their Masters odds. Tiger was 7/1 a week ago in Masters odds lists at shops such as Bovada. By Monday morning, it was 7/2.

Golf Betting: PGA Championship

Tiger Woods is in the field for the PGA Championship this week, but he's not the betting favorite at the sportsbooks to pick up the victory at the major tournament.

The chalk instead is Rory McIlroy, who sits at 10/1 odds at Bovada to add a PGA Championship title to his resume at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia this week. McIlroy is up to fourth right now in the World Golf Rankings.

How to bet on golf

Golf used to be a game for retired old men to take up when their working days were behind them.

Not anymore. Golf has become a game for all ages and is used as a conference table on the fairways for business meetings. As popularity in the sport has surged, so has betting on golf.

McIlroy Favored in British Open Odds

The only mention of Tiger Woods this week as British Open betting odds were posted was a false report that he was holding a press conference Monday.

Normally, Tiger sits atop the odds list of this tournament and holds court by dominating the buzz. But this week is all about youngster Rory McIlroy and whether he can come through for golf bettors at another major.
