Titans Have Been Awful at Home

Titans Football

The Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans head into their Week 10 matchup in Nashville riding a high. Carolina is coming off a big home win over the Green Bay Packers, while the Titans garnered a much needed 34-28 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Mike Mularkey’s debut as the team’s interim head coach.

The trends aren’t working in Tennessee’s favor in this one, however. The Titans have been unexplainably bad at home in recent appearances, dropping each of their last nine games at Nissan Stadium. Stringing together solid back to back performances has also been a monumental task for the squad. Tennessee is 0-10 SU and ATS in its last 10 games following an ATS win.

Carolina ranks as one of the three unbeaten teams in the NFL at 8-0 SU and has continued to prove their naysayers wrong this season. The Cats have been a strong play for their bettors as well, entering the matchup with the Titans with 6-2 ATS record.

NFL Betting: Lions are Ice-Cold ATS

Matthew Stafford Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers are set to square off on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field in Week 9 of the NFL slate with both sides mired in some tough times. It’s been a year to forget for the Lions, who are just 1-7 SU. Detroit has been an awful play this year when it comes to covering the spread, going just 1-7 ATS at the midway point of the season.

The Lions are 0-5 ATS in their last five games as underdogs against the Packers.

The Packers are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games at home.

The Lions are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games as underdogs in November.

Green Bay’s return to Wisconsin couldn’t come at a better time. The Pack are coming off consecutive losses to the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers and have looked mediocre in just about every aspect of the game.

Green Bay’s defense has allowed 96 points over its last three games—a big reason a boiling point occurred on Sunday which saw multiple Packers defenders have a scuffle on the sidelines.

Week 10 Odds: Cowboys vs Buccaneers

Dez Bryant Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are two teams that have fallen upon some tough times as of late for different reasons. Injuries have plagued Dallas’ season to the point where there may be no coming back for the ‘Boys at 2-6 SU and ATS. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay has fared better at 3-5 SU and 4-4 ATS, but are experiencing some growing pains with rookie quarterback Jameis Winston under center.

The good news for Bucs bettors is their penchant for bouncing back at the betting window. Tampa Bay, who fell to the Giants 32-18 while failing to cover as 1.5-point underdogs in Week 8, is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games after an ATS loss.

Ravens Failing to Cover at Home

Joe Flacco Ravens

It’s been a lackluster season so far for both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens, but they’ll each try and right the ship Sunday when they collide in Maryland. Home field advantage has been nonexistent for backers of the Ravens, as Joe Flacco and company are an ugly 0-6 ATS in their last six home games.
Trend seekers will also be interested to know that the Ravens are 0-9-1 in their previous 10 games when tabbed as the favorites. Baltimore opened as 6.5-point home chalk for the tilt.

As bad as the Ravens have been as faves, the Jags aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire when it comes to winning straight up as underdogs. Gus Bradley’s squad is 0-13 SU in their last 13 games as underdogs. The good news is someone is going to win this game, but it won’t come anywhere close to being on the radar of NFL fans outside of their respective fan bases.

2015/16 NFC South Futures

The NFC South features one of the NFL’s three undefeated teams, the 7-0 Carolina Panthers who are unsurprisingly a -210 favorite to win the division at online sportsbook Bovada. Seven straight wins has given them a great head start, but the Atlanta Falcons (+225) are just two games behind, while the New Orleans Saints (+900) have rattled off four wins in their past five games.

Monday Night Football: CHI vs SD Odds

Rivers chargers quarterback

The San Diego Chargers haven’t been the most reliable team to wager on in recent seasons, and the 2015 NFL campaign is no different. The Bolts, who play host to the Chicago Bears in Week 9 on Monday Night Football, opened as 4-point favorites. In their last eight games when tabbed as chalk by oddsmakers, Phillip Rivers and company are just 1-7 ATS.

Chicago (2-5 SU, 3-4 ATS) have looked slightly better in the last month after enduring an awful start to the year. Going back to October 4th against Oakland, the Bears have been at least keeping things close, losing by a field goal twice while garnering two victories by two and one point margins over the Raiders and Chiefs.

Monday’s contest marks the first time the two sides have met in the regular season since 2011, when Jay Cutler led Chicago to a 31-20 victory.

2015/16 AFC North Futures

Cincinnati Bengals Jeremy Hill

The AFC North has perennially been one of the tightest divisions in the NFL, but the 2015 edition has been a one horse race at the halfway point of the season.

Through eight weeks, the Cincinnati Bengals have gotten off to their best start in franchise history and sit atop the division at 7-0. As a result, online sportsbook Bovada has tabbed Andy Dalton and company with a -5000 shot of capturing the AFC North at the end of the season.

Pivotal Time for Bills, Dolphins, Eagles

The Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles have something in common besides each being 3-4 straight-up and against the spread. All have been poorly coached.

It's a pivotal moment for each team's head coach.
