The Navy Midshipmen have been rolling their opponents the last few weeks but will have to face a Temple team in the AAC Championship game that's been absolutely money at the betting window. The Owls have covered in 12 straight games and conventional wisdom would tell you to take them again this week, given their superior defense and underdog odds.

Texas Tech Has Yet Another Huge Total

Texas Tech has already had four games this season close with a total of 85.0 or higher. That will likely reach five when the Red Raiders take on the Baylor Bears on Friday.

As of Friday morning, Texas Tech vs Baylor has a total of 85.0, which is only the 10th occurrence of such a high total in our database. Of the previous nine games to close with a total of 85.0 or higher, the OVER has gone 5-4 with an average combined score of 94.4. In the four games that ultimately went UNDER, two fell just one point short of the closing total.

A clash between Boston College and Wake Forest will likely receive little fanfare considering other massive games during rivalry week, but the Eagles and Demon Deacons are on the border of history. As of Friday morning, Boston College vs Wake Forest has a total of 36.0, which would tie it for the third-lowest total in our database.

There have been five games that have closed with a total of 36.0 or lower in our database, with the UNDER going 3-2, as teams in those games have combined for an average of 25.4 points per game.

Odds For Each Team To Make NCAAF Playoffs

Though the potential field of College Football Playoff contenders is dwindling, there is still far from what we would call clarity about who exactly the final four teams will be. With rivalry week coming up and the conference championship games to follow, we’ll officially know in less than two weeks who will be competing to be the national champions.

Below are the odds for each of the remaining contenders to make the playoffs, with a quick outline of what would need to happen for it to come to fruition.

Will Herman Be The Longhorns’ Next Coach?

Charlie Strong is out in Austin. Yes, Texas has not officially fired coach Strong, but there are reports locally in Austin and nationally that suggest that the decision has already been made.

With plenty of Longhorns fans gleefully waiting for the official confirmation of Strong’s departure (yes, we are an awful people), it’s time for many to start looking forward to who will lead the team into the future. Multiple reports out of Austin are that Texas boosters are pushing extremely hard for the team to hire Tom Herman, now head coach of the Houston Cougars.
