The Mountaineers begin their move to the Sun Belt and the FBS after posting a 4-8 SU record in the Southern Conference last season. It’s been seven years since Appalachian State’s stunning 34-32 win over Michigan to start the season. That game was expected to be such a blowout it received no odds.
The Wolverines had an awful finish to last season, dropping five of their last six games and losing to Kansas State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Michigan was 7-6 SU and ATS last season, but was a smart bet at home with a 5-2 ATS record.
