Undefined

Every year when bowl season comes around college football bettors get excited at the chance to bet on a month's worth of games between teams that usually don't meet across various conferences.

College Football Over Under Betting Offers Best NCAA Odds Value

Undefined

Moneylines and spreads for college football Saturday are usually released by most online sportsbooks a full week in advance.

Totals, on the other hand, are released midweek instead. One of the reasons for this is that they are tougher for sportsbooks to calculate, and in turn more beatable to the sharp college football bettor.

College Football Parlay Betting Strategies

Undefined

College football bettors and sportsbooks both love parlays. For bettors, parlays offer the chance at huge payouts on small wagers.

Meanwhile, sportsbooks know that these wagers are not likely to hit. But with the right strategies in place, bettors can take advantage of parlay betting and turn a nice profit in college football.

College Football Handicapping Myths

Undefined

The proliferation of college football betting websites and forums has made every Joe Q. Bettor an expert on winning wagers on NCAA football and all other sports. Or so they think.

It seems like everyone out there with a blog or a forum login has a strong opinion or even a foolproof ‘system’ that has them raking in the cash on the college football betting lines on a weekly basis. Thing is, for every bettor out there, there’s a strategy. And while some betting angles are worth exploring, some ideas are pure college football myths.

Betting Against Ranked Teams?

Undefined

Some college football bettors would tell you that wagering on ranked road underdogs against an unranked home foe is an out-and-out trap, but the numbers suggest otherwise.

No system is foolproof, and while it’s unlike us to put the fate of our bankroll in the hands of the AP Top 25 and the college football head coaches that chime in on the Coaches’ Poll every week, the reality is that the rankings tend to point bettors in the right direction.

Birmingham Bowl College Football Betting Odds with Pick - East Carolina Pirates vs Florida Gators

The Florida Gators will be gunning for their ninth ATS win in their last 12 bowl game appearances when they face the East Carolina Pirates in the Birmingham Bowl. The Gators are 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five overall, with the total finishing UNDER in both of their SU losses, bucking a 7-1 trend by the OVER in Florida's previous eight.

The Pirates are 5-1 ATS over the past two seasons when pegged as underdogs, but are just 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall, while the OVER is a solid 5-1-1 in their last seven. The OVER prevailed in the last two former Compass Bowls, ending a stretch of six straight playing UNDER the posted total.

The East Carolina Pirates will look to cover ATS vs their hosts on Saturday, as they are 5-7 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Florida Gators are 6-5 ATS. East Carolina is 6-6 against the over under total, while Florida is 8-3 versus the number.
