Even through they just broke a four-game losing streak Brigham Young's Cougars are still just 1-3 both SU and ATS since losing quarterback Taysom Hill for the season to injury. So BYU, now 5-4 SU but 3-6 ATS on the season, will try to become bowl-eligible when it takes on 2-8 UNLV Saturday night in Provo.
The Cougars just won at Middle Tennessee 27-7, their first victory in four tries with Christian Stewart at quarterback, covering as field-goal favorites. The Rebels, meanwhile, after snapping a 12-year bowl-less streak last year, will miss a bowl this year, having lost seven of their last eight games, including a 48-21 decision at Air Force last week.
BYU battles the UNLV Rebels, currently with a 2-8 mark (3-7 ATS). The over under records, important for totals betting, are 5-3-1 for the Cougars and 4-6 for the UNLV Rebels.
