TCU vs Oklahoma State Betting Outlook

TCU Trevone Boykin

TCU continues to be one of the best, and safest teams, to wager on in college football with the Horned Frogs going 20-3 SU and 17-6 ATS in their past 23 games. TCU will look to take sole possession of first in the Big 12 when they visit Oklahoma State Saturday.

TCU ranks second in the nation in points per game and yards per game, with the Horned Frogs averaging 48.9 points and 616 yards. Quarterback Trevone Boykin continues to bolster his bid for the Heisman as the senior signal caller has thrown for 824 yards, seven touchdowns and no picks in the past two games.

Oklahoma State’s offense is not far behind though as the Cowboys are in the top 10 in both points per game and passing yards per game. In the past two games, Oklahoma State passers have thrown for 859 yards, eight touchdowns and one interception.

Life Without Russell Begins for Baylor

Baylor Bears Jarrett Stidham

Baylor’s offense has been damn near unstoppable this season with Seth Russell at the helm, but a season-ending neck injury has thrust true freshman Jarrett Stidham into the starting role. Baylor, who has faced an average closing spread of -34.9 this season, will start their life without Russell this Thursday when they host Kansas State.

Stidham has appeared in every game this season for Baylor, but it was always in garbage time when the Bears have run up their lead to ridiculous margins. However, Baylor is more about the system than the quarterback and with a wealth of offensive weapons and a great offensive line, Baylor’s coaching staff is not expected much of a change.

Kansas State can empathize with the idea of injuries with the team losing their starting quarterback and two members of the secondary this season. The Wildcats have not won a game since opening the season 3-0.

Mizzou Has Been Dominant in November

Mizzou Football

Missouri may seem rather pedestrian so far this season, with a 4-4 SU record, but they have excelled in November with eight consecutive wins and covers in the month. The Tigers will look to remain perfect when they host the Mississippi State Bulldogs Thursday.

Mizzou went through a bit of a roller coaster this past week as they reinstated starting quarterback Maty Mauk only to suspend him for the remainder of the season six days later. Freshman signal caller Drew Lock will likely retain the starting role after getting the call the past four weeks, but the quarterback has not registered a touchdown pass in three straight games.

Despite a quieter season in Starkville, Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott has been near flawless with 14 passing touchdowns and one interception while adding another seven trips to the endzone with his legs.

Friday Night Football: SMU vs Temple

Southern Methodist is far from a football powerhouse, but they have made the Mustangs faithful depressed as the team is 1-11 SU and 3-8 ATS in their past 12 games at home. SMU will play host to a Temple Owls team with a point to prove Thursday.

SMU’s defense has been hard to watch this season as they have allowed 43.6 points per game and 524 yards per game. The Mustangs have only held opponents under 38 point in a game once this season and that was against North Texas.

Temple is coming off a loss in the biggest game in the team’s history when they allowed a fourth quarter touchdown with just over two minutes left to lose the game. Temple’s defense has been great this season, allowing teams to score just 15.8 points per game.
