Marshall is off and running this season to a 3-0 start, 2-1 ATS, scoring at least 42 points each time out. The Herd goes looking for more when it thunders into Akron on Saturday afternoon to take on the Zips. These programs used to be conference rivals, but this will be the first meeting between the two since 2004.
Marshall has already covered spreads this season as a favorite of 40 and 21 points. Akron, meanwhile, is coming off a tough loss at Penn State, in which it trailed just 14-3 midway through the fourth quarter, coming up a little short of covering as a 14-point dog.
Akron will face the 3-0 Marshall Thundering Herd, who own a 1-1-1 ATS mark on the season. In totals betting, the Akron Zips are 0-2 so far this season while the Thundering Herd are 1-1-1.
