College Football Week 15 Saturday Notes

Oregon took care of its business on Friday night, now the other three schools sitting in the top four of the College Football Playoff Rankings will try for a similar result when they hit the gridiron on Saturday.

Oregon, sitting at No. 2 in the CFP Rankings, pounded No. 7 Arizona 51-13 in the Pac-12 Championship Game on Friday night, easily covering the posted spread at the online sportsbooks and all but assuring them a spot in the four-team playoff field.

SEC Championship Game: Alabama chalk

The Alabama Crimson Tide can likely lock up the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings with a victory against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday in the SEC Championship Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

The Crimson Tide won the West Division and hope to capture their second SEC title in three years, beating the Georgia Bulldogs 32-28 in 2012 but failing to cover the spread as a 9-point favorite. The Tigers are in the championship game for the second year in a row after again winning the East Division, but they lost to the Auburn Tigers 59-42 in 2013 as 1.5-point favorites.

Alabama is coming off a 55-44 win over Auburn last week in their annual Iron Bowl intrastate rivalry game, beating the spread for the first time in five games as 9.5-point home chalk. Missouri has won its past six games, going 5-1 against the spread during that stretch following a 21-14 victory against Arkansas last Saturday as a 2.5-point home underdog.

The Alabama Crimson Tide currently sport a record of 11-1, and have posted a corresponding betting slate of 3-8-1 ATS. The Missouri Tigers are 10-2 and 8-4 ATS. Betting totals have seen the Alabama Crimson Tide post a 5-6 over under record this season, while the Missouri Tigers have gone 5-7 against the number.

Florida State vs Ga Tech ACC Title Odds

The Florida State Seminoles will try to win their third straight ACC title on Saturday when they meet the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Bank of American Stadium in Charlotte. The defending national champion Seminoles defeated the Yellow Jackets 21-15 in the 2012 ACC Championship Game but failed to cover the spread as 15.5-point favorites. In fact, Florida State is 0-5 against the spread in the last five meetings with Georgia Tech despite winning three of them.

The Coastal Division champion Yellow Jackets have won five straight games overall both straight up and ATS following a 30-24 overtime victory against the Georgia Bulldogs last week as 10.5-point underdogs. The Atlantic Division champion Seminoles have won 28 games in a row but have gone just 3-10 vs. the line in their past 13.

The Florida State Seminoles will look to cover ATS vs their hosts on Saturday, as they are 3-9 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 8-4 ATS. Florida State is 5-7 against the over under total, while Georgia Tech is 6-6 versus the number.

Big Ten Championship Betting Prediction

The Ohio State Buckeyes are still looking for their first Big Ten Championship Game victory as they face the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes lost to the Michigan State Spartans 34-24 in last year's Big Ten title game as 5.5-point favorites while the Badgers won the previous two by a combined score of 112-70.

Big Ten East champion Ohio State lost starting quarterback J.T. Barrett to a fractured ankle in last week's 42-28 home win over the Michigan Wolverines, and the team has failed to cover the spread in its past three games against Big Ten opponents. Big Ten West champion Wisconsin is riding a seven-game winning streak in conference play and has gone 4-3 against the spread during that stretch. However, the Badgers have dropped six of the previous seven meetings with the Buckeyes both straight-up and ATS.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are 11-1 so far on the season, and 7-5 ATS vs the point spread. The Wisconsin Badgers, meanwhile, are 10-2 and 5-7 ATS. Those over under betting have seen Ohio State go 10-2 and the Wisconsin Badgers go 6-5-1 on the totals.

Week 15 Betting: Kansas State vs Baylor

The 10-1 Baylor Bears can clinch the Big 12 conference title with a win when they take on the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday. The Bears have won four straight SU but are just 2-4 ATS in their last six. Baylor has been a reliable bet on home turf however, going 15-3 ATS in their last 18 home dates, and is 12-2 ATS in their last 14 as home favorites.

The 9-2 Wildcats are a solid 3-1 ATS, 2-2 SU, in their last four games as underdogs, and have rewarded bettors in recent meetings with the Bears, going 4-1 ATS in their last five matchups with Baylor, 7-3 ATS in their last 10. K-State is also a strong 14-2 ATS in their last 16 as road dogs, and has surrendered more than 20 points just once in their last five, a 41-20 loss at TCU.

This season the Baylor Bears are 10-1 overall and 7-4 ATS against the spread, while the Wildcats are 9-2 and 8-3 ATS. As for the totals, Baylor is 7-4 on the OU, and Kansas State is 7-4

Oklahoma State vs Oklahoma Odds Pick

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will look to halt a five-game SU losing skid when they take on the 8-3 Oklahoma Sooners in the annual Bedlam Game. The 5-6 Pokes ended a five-game ATS losing streak in their last outing, covering a 33-point spread in a 49-28 loss to Baylor two weeks ago, but are just 1-10 SU, 3-8 ATS, in their last 11 against their in-state rivals.

The Sooners have produced mixed results of late, just 4-3 SU since opening the season with four straight wins, and are 2-5 ATS in their last seven. Oklahoma is a solid 7-2 SU in their last nine versus Big 12 opponents, but again has disappointed bettors, going 3-6 ATS. The Sooners have also been outright losers as favorites in two of their last three at home, but have outscored opponents 86-37 in their last two outings.

The Oklahoma Sooners are 8-3 so far on the season, and 5-6 ATS vs the point spread. The Oklahoma State Cowboys, meanwhile, are 5-6 and 4-7 ATS. Those over under betting have seen Oklahoma go 8-3 and the Oklahoma State Cowboys go 6-5 on the totals.

C-USA Championship Game Betting Pick

Marshall's Thundering Herd can no longer attain perfection this season, following their overtime loss to Western Kentucky, but they can still reach their goal of a conference championship when they entertain Louisiana Tech in the CUSA title game on the Herd's home field Saturday afternoon in Huntington.

Marshall was 11-0 SU and 8-3 ATS on the season until getting gouged for 738 yards and nine touchdowns in a 67-66 overtime loss to the Hilltoppers last time out as 24-point favorites. Nonetheless the Herd are champions of the East Division. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, just put up 76 points on Rice, and at 8-4 SU, 9-3 ATS and 7-1 in conference play enter the CUSA championship game as champions of the West Division.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs will look to cover ATS vs their hosts on Saturday, as they are 9-3 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Marshall Thundering Herd are 7-4-1 ATS. Louisiana Tech is 7-4-1 against the over under total, while Marshall is 6-5-1 versus the number.

Week 15 Betting: Iowa State battles TCU

The TCU Horned Frogs need a win when they face the Iowa State Cyclones this weekend to keep their hopes alive for a Big 12 conference championship and a College Football Playoff berth. The 10-1 Frogs have won six straight SU and are a perfect 6-0 SU and ATS on home turf this season. TCU also owns the nation's fifth-ranked offense, with the point total going OVER in eight of their 11 games this season.

The 2-9 Cyclones are currently enduring a five-game SU losing streak, 1-4 ATS, and have suffered two outright losses as favorites in their last three outings. However, Iowa State is 2-0 ATS in their last two meetings with the Horned Frogs, including a 37-23 win as seven-point underdogs in their last visit to TCU in 2012.

TCU bring a 10-1 record (9-2 ATS) to the Week 15 betting matchup against the 2-9 Iowa State Cyclones, who are 4-7 ATS against the spread. Over under betting has seen TCU go 8-3 so far and the Cyclones go 5-6.
