Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl

Las Vegas Bowl

BYU and Utah halted their longtime rivalry last season, missing each other on the schedule for the first time since World War II. And they didn't meet this season, either. Fortunately, the powers that be with the Las Vegas Bowl couldn't resist grabbing the Cougars and the Utes for the latest edition of the Holy War in, of all places, Las Vegas.

Raycom Media Camellia Bowl

Camellia Bowl

Appalachian State marauded as a small-college monster for many years, then made the jump to the big time two seasons ago. Now, following a 10-win regular season, the Mountaineers will play in their first-ever FBS postseason game when they take on Ohio in the second Camellia Bowl at the historic Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Potato Bowl

The Akron Zips ended a decade-long bowl drought by posting a 7-5 straight-up record to tie for second place in the MAC East division standings, their highest finish since winning the division in 2005. The Utah State Aggies return to the postseason for a fifth straight year, struggling to a 6-6 SU regular season record after winning 10 games a year ago.

Boca Raton Bowl

Boca Raton Bowl

The Toledo Rockets will be making their fifth bowl game appearance in six years, heading to the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl after a 35-30 loss to Western Michigan spoiled their bid for a shot at their first MAC championship since 2004. Meanwhile, since peaking at No. 21 in the AP Top 25, the Temple Owls have dropped three of six, including a 24-13 loss to Houston in the AAC title game.

New Mexico a Strong ATS Bet vs Arizona

New Mexico Football NCAA

New Mexico gets the luxury of playing in the New Mexico Bowl when they take on the Arizona Wildcats in Albuquerque on December 19th. The Lobos have enjoyed success against the Wildcats, with New Mexico covering in the past three meetings between the two teams.

New Mexico has clinched their first winning season since 2007 thanks to a revived offense that is heavily based on the rushing attack. The Lobos are averaging 246.6 yards per game, which is good for ninth in the nation, with three different players rushing for 600-plus yards and six or more touchdowns.

Arizona was supposed to be better than .500 this season, but injures decimated the team from the early goings of the season. The Wildcats limped to the finish line of the regular season with a 1-4 record in their past five with an average scoring margin of minus 13 points.

NCAAF: Opening Semi-Finals Spreads

After more than four months of football, only four teams remain with a chance to win the national championship. Clemson will take on Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl while Alabama and Michigan State will meet in the Cotton Bowl with a berth in the finals on the line. Only moments after the official announcements were made the spreads hit the board with the Crimson Tide and the Sooners opening as favorites.

Arkansas Great At Covering vs the Big 12

Arkansas Football

The Arkansas Razorbacks continue to be one of the toughest teams in the nation to play, ask anyone in the SEC, and they have proven this when they square off against Big 12 opponents. Arkansas is 7-2 ATS in their last nine games facing off against Big 12 foes. The Razorbacks will take on the Kansas State Wildcats in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.

Arkansas have ended the season with a respectable 7-5 record, but they went 5-1 in the final six weeks with wins over Ole Miss and LSU with their loss coming by one-point. Brandon Allen was the third-leading passer in the SEC this season and has two 400-plus passing yards and six-plus touchdown cgames in his past four appearances.

Kansas State was on the outside looking in, but a three-game winning streak to end the season (plus an amazing APR) got them to the bowl games. It will be important for K-State to try and solidify their secondary this season as injuries have riddled them and caused them to be in the bottom 10 in passing yards allowed.
