Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl

Peach Bowl

A committee appointed by the Lions Club of Atlanta was turned down three times in its attempt to bring a bowl game to the city, but the group finally received NCAA certification in 1968 and the first Peach Bowl was played Dec. 30 that year at Georgia Tech’s Grant Field. LSU beat Florida State 31-27. The Peach Bowl moved to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in 1971 and then to the Georgia Dome in 1993 through 2016. For the foreseeable future, it will be held at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are back in the Fiesta Bowl, only this time it's against the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff semifinal. The teams have had similar seasons – several statement wins, but many close calls. New Orleans Bowl

New Orleans Bowl

The city of New Orleans was already home to one college football bowl game, and the state of Louisiana to another. But they both added one more back in 2001 with the advent of the New Orleans Bowl, played every December at the Superdome.

The New Orleans Bowl now usually matches teams from Conference USA and the Sun Belt, but exceptions have been made.

Colorado State won the inaugural New Orleans Bowl, knocking off North Texas 45-20. The Mean Green went on to play in the first four New Orleans Bowls, although they only won one of them.

AutoNation Cure Bowl

Cure Bowl

One of the most recent additions to the college football bowl game schedule, the Cure Bowl was inaugurated in 2015. Featuring a matchup of squads from the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference, the Cure Bowl continues a decades-long football tradition at its home at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

In addition to the Camping World Bowl and the Cure Bowl, Camping World Stadium has been the home of the Citrus Bowl since 1947, and also hosted the 2016 ACC championship game and the 2017 Pro Bowl.

Gildan New Mexico Bowl

New Mexico Bowl

The New Mexico Bowl has been played at Dreamstyle Stadium, the on-campus home of the New Mexico Lobos in Albuquerque, New Mexico, since its inception in 2006. The Lobos have more appearances in this game than any other team with four, compiling a 2-2 SU and ATS record in those four games.

Las Vegas Bowl

Sin City has played host to the Las Vegas Bowl since 1992, following the California Raisin Bowl’s transfer from Fresno the year prior.

Nevada and UNLV combined to make their home state college bowl game five times out of the first nine editions. The Wolfpack went 1-2, while the Runnin’ Rebels put up a perfect 2-0 record – but the Silver State has sent exactly zero teams to the Las Vegas Bowl during the 21st century. That’s a shame too, because after relocating from Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, the game has been held at Sam Boyd Stadium near the UNLV campus.

Camellia Bowl

Camellia Bowl

The Camellia Bowl debuted in 2014 and is played at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama, between schools from the Sun Belt and Mid-American conferences. The Cramton Bowl stadium has plenty of history. The University of Alabama played home games there from 1922 to 1932 and some other years through 1954. It also used to host the Blue-Gray Football Classic. In addition, the Cramton Bowl holds the honor of being the first stadium in the South to feature a football game at night under the lights. That was a Sept.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Potato Bowl

How does a late-December trip to Boise, Idaho, sound? Generally, bowl games are played in warm-weather locations, or in a domed stadium if in a cold-weather city. But that’s what makes the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl unique. The game played at Albertsons Stadium on the campus of Boise State debuted in 1997 and is the longest-running cold-weather bowl game in college football.
